Privacy and Cookie Policy.

Last updated: 19 October 2026

This policy explains how Dinny Padayatty (“I”, “me”, “my”) collects and uses your personal information when you visit dinnypadayatty.co.uk or get in touch with me. I take your privacy seriously and only collect what I need.

1. Who I am

I am Dinny Padayatty, a digital marketing consultant based in Surrey, UK. I am the data controller for the information described in this policy. You can contact me at hello@dinnypadayatty.co.uk.

2. What information I collect

  • Enquiry form details. When you fill in the contact form I collect your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), your business name and type, what you need help with, and any message you write.
  • Emails and calls. If you email me or book a call, I keep the messages and notes of what we discuss.
  • Website usage data. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, your approximate location (town or region), your device and browser type, and how you found my site. This data does not include your name or contact details.
  • Technical data. Like all websites, my hosting provider keeps basic server logs (such as IP address, date and time, and the page requested) for security and to keep the site running.

2a. What I use it for, and my legal basis

  • To reply to your enquiry and arrange a call, and to take steps you ask for before we agree to work together. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before a contract, and my legitimate interest in running my business.
  • To provide my services if you become a client. Legal basis: performing a contract.
  • To understand how my website is used and improve it, using analytics cookies. Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time (see section 7).
  • To keep the website secure and prevent spam. Legal basis: my legitimate interest.
  • To keep records for accounting and tax. Legal basis: legal obligation.

I do not sell your personal information, and I do not use your enquiry details for marketing emails unless you ask me to.

3. Who I share your information with

I use a small number of trusted service providers who handle information on my behalf:

  • Formspree processes enquiry form submissions and passes them to my business email.
  • Hostinger hosts this website and my business email.
  • Google provides Google Analytics and Google Search Console, which show me how the website is used and found.

I only share information that is needed for them to do their job. I may also share information if the law requires it.

4. Transfers outside the UK

Some of these providers (for example Formspree and Google) may process information in the United States or other countries. Where this happens, I rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK-US data bridge, as applicable to each provider.

5. How long I keep your information

  • Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 24 months, then deleted.
  • Client records and correspondence: for the length of our work together and then for up to 6 years, which is the period I need to keep records for accounting and tax purposes.
  • Analytics data: kept in Google Analytics for up to 14 months.

6. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information I hold about you;
  • ask me to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
  • ask me to delete your information, in some circumstances;
  • ask me to restrict or stop using your information, in some circumstances;
  • object to my use of your information where I rely on legitimate interests;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where I rely on consent;
  • ask for your information in a portable format, in some circumstances.

To use any of these rights, email hello@dinnypadayatty.co.uk. I will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how I handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113. I would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
